Milton Ericksontól és Gregory Bateson-tól is személyesen tanult. Munkájával rengeteget tett hozzá az NLP számos alkalmazott területéhez, mint az oktatás, a kreativitás, az egészség, a vezetői feladatok. Kidolgozta a Stratégiák és Hiedelemrendszerek modelljeit. Ismert modelljei és technikái közé tartozik a Re-imprinting (Újra-bevésődés), a konfliktusos hiedelmek integrációja, a betűzési stratégia, az allergia technika, a neuro-logikai szintek, a hiedelem-változtató ciklus és mások. A Viselkedésmérnök alapítója, ami egy igen sikeres, William Hanley-vel 1981-ben alapított szoftvercég. Oktatóprogramokat forgalmaznak.
Jelenleg is oktat, tréningeket, kurzusokat, könyvbemutatókat tart.
